Bonnie & Clyde come to a bloody end on Broadway, as they did in life, and Broadway.com resident artist Justin ‘Squigs’ Robertson has penned a fitting portrait of this notorious pair. As the title outlaws, stage lovers Laura Osnes and Jeremy Jordan turn to crime to get out of their poor West Texas town. Robertson took at seat at the Schoenfeld Theatre to see Osnes and Jordan, along with Barrow Gang members Buck (Claybourne Elder) and Blanche (Melissa Van Der Schyff), go head-to-head with lawmen played by Louis Hobson and Joe Hart. Take a look at his rendering of these Broadway lawbreakers, then catch them live on stage!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home. Click to e-mail Squigs. Photo by Matthew Murphy
